The Prize is open to anyone over 16, as long as the work is original and previously unpublished.

Noteworthy: The Moth used to be one of my fave lit mags until the powers that be defunded it and caused it to shut down. Their prizes, however, are still going strong. The Moth Prize is definitely one of those career-makers, especially for this in the UK/EU).
The Lascaux Prize in Flash Fiction | Deadline: Julne 30
Stories may be previously published or unpublished, and simultaneous submissions are accepted. True stories are welcome as long as they’re written in a narrative style. Writers may enter more than once, and as many as three stories may be submitted per entry (all pasted into one document). Individual story length should not exceed 1,000 words. All genres and styles are welcome.

Witcraft Annual Humor Competition | Deadline: July 31
We’re looking for fiction, nonfiction and poetry that is founded on wit, humour, puns, absurdity and irony. Put away the sledgehammer, the cliches, the tired tropes and the nastiness.
Entries must be a minimum of 200 words and a maximum of 1,000 words of fiction, nonfiction or poetry. For poetry only, you may include more than one piece, all in a single document, in order to reach the minimum requirement. Entries outside these guidelines will be deleted unread.

Noteworthy: I love cool, smart names and this mag and prize definitely nailed that. Also, there aren’t tooo many humor writing awards out there.
