Maybe I'm a screen-ager with a shot attention span, but in the blur of submission opportunities, I gravitate toward lit mags that have a really cool underlying concept. I've been ferreting them away in my chill subs bookmarks for months. To kick off Sub Club Specials, I thought I would share my five favorite.

From ekphrasis to place-based work, collaborating with computers to collaborating with other poets, these magazines are experimenting not just with the work they publish, but with how a magazine should work in the first place. And if you're looking to spice up your writing and submitting life this list is a great place to start.
