Need an Agent? I’ll Match You With One
Where to Query This Week (7.9.25) | One sentence = One agent recommendation
Welcome to Sub Club’s Where to Query This Week!
Let’s try something new and make the agent search feel a little less soul-crushing.
If you’re deep in the query trenches (or just circling the edge), drop in the comments one sentence about your WIP: the hook, the vibe, the beating heart of the thing. I’ll reply by tomorrow 10 AM EST (when comments will close) with the name of one agent who might be a great fit.
Any genre, any style—commercial, literary, speculative, hybrid, messy, strange—is welcome.
Here’s what you’ll get in return:
Agent Name
Agency
A line from their wishlist that matches your project
Example submission:
“A queer gothic romance set in a crumbling mountain town, with ancestral curses, missing girls, and a possibly haunted lake.”
Example response:
Taylor Smith, Cool Agents Literary
“They love anything with a surreal setting, eerie small towns, or feminine horror rooted in family secrets.”
P.S If you’re querying and want a curated list made just for your manuscript, plus help refining your query letter, check out my Personal Agent List service.
