Shannan is on vacation! Let’s see if I remember how to do this.
Hi! How’s the…uh…submitting going? Getting some acceptances, I hope. Cool. Cool, cool, cool.
I’ve been listening to all of these podcasts about how tech bros are all trying to cheat death by inventing immortality through some AI or bioengineering nonsense. That they are all getting older and realizing they’re going to die and there is nothing they can do about it, so they’re trying to find something they can do about it, and, well. It got me thinking: Does anyone else feel like they’re writing for the same reason?
Like, okay, there is no way I’m going to invent some fake lung or something. So I better try to write the best fucking poem I can, you know?
Anyone else? Why are you writing?
Anyway, happy Monday.
Like riding a bike.
