Fresh openings! I’m always torn with scheduling submissions. It would definitely lead to better results, but I’m always so happy when I find out a magazine I want to submit to just opened. So, I don’t schedule my submissions. Not because I’m lazy, or get busy with something else, or have rejection burn out. No, no. I’m just chasing that new openings high. Surely.
I’m going to yield my intro time over to Kailey because she’s got some awesome Write or Die workshops coming up.
We’ve been hitting the promo pretty hard with this weekend’s workshop, How to Build a “Platform” for Writers Who Shudder at the Thought with Courtney Kocak. But we know how challenging it can be to figure out how and where to spend your time on the internet. And Coruntey knows her shit! Her whole approach is to help you find a sustainable social media strategy that doesn't make you want to walk into the ocean. Learn about newsletters, podcasts, social media, and more on October 14th from 1- 3:30 PM EST.
If talking in fiction is more your thing, Joanna Cantor has a workshop coming up called Crafting Conversations: Elevating Your Fiction Through Dialogue. This 3 hour intensive will explore how to write dialogue that builds tension, reveals character, advances plot, and takes your work to the next level. Hell yeah. Anddd I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. If you just want to write and skip the workshops, we also have another Write Together Retreat coming up, with Allie Rowbottom and Tea Hacic-Vlahovic! Scheduled writing time, author craft chat, connecting with our writing community, lots of progress on your work. Boom. Its a good time.
