Where to Pitch This Week (4.11.25) | Pitches wanted on food, tech, sports, travel, book reviews & more!
Hey everyone,
So, times are crazy and sad and you know what that means! *Cue drum roll that dramatically devolves into a sad tooting horn* More things to write about! Woohoo?
Well, in the spirit of trying to be as positive as we can, we’ve got 19 pitching opportunities from paying publications below. Before we dive into that though, I did a bit of research into what, if anything, editors are overall looking for right now. Here’s the latest:

Women’s Health noted some common mistakes in pitches editors have seen of late:
Queries that are too broad, too vague or that pitch a topic instead of a story.
“We want to tap into the moment with the biggest, brightest, newest ideas in the women’s health landscape,” Engel says. “It’s also important to make sure other outlets haven’t covered this story, or that you’re presenting a unique look at an issue that is already out there in the media.”
Teen Vogue Editor-in-Chief Versha Sharma shared some simple yet evergreen advice recently:
“…keep pitches to one or two paragraphs and following up in a week or so if you don’t hear back.”
While it may seem like there’s lots out there right now extolling the glory of AI, there's still room and desire out there to hear from people talking about the downsides, ethics, and economic analysis related to and about AI. So, shit on AI and get paid for it people!
Alright, now let’s get to the open pitch calls this week!
