16 Pitch Calls from Paying Publications
Where to Pitch This Week (12.20.24) | Editor requests from Glamour UK, Financial Times, and DAME. Plus paid opps in radio, culture, parenting, and autosexuality
Hello, happy Friday, and welcome to Where to Pitch This Week!
Things are slowing down a little bit on the pitching front, but it won’t last for too long.
On a random note, if you’re looking for festive background TV, I’ve just fallen in love with this holiday cooking show: Farmhouse Kitchen -1978. It’s an old fashioned cooking show that’s so soothing. It’s like the Great British Bake Off with nothing at stake and 1/10th the budget.
And now, onward with the pitches!
What Editors Are Looking For
Everything and Nothing
Right now is a very flexible time. If you want to pitch and write, there are editors out there working away, taking new stories, and carrying on regardless of the holiday.
If you’re tired, or cozy, or distracted by loud family visitors, it’s completely fine to do nothing for the next two weeks. You won’t miss out on any major stories. You won’t fall behind.
So, choose your own adventure. Keep sending pitches (and give editors a little more time to respond) or live on the couch covered in blankets and Christmas cookie crumbs. Both are equally good choices right now.
