Thank you so much for this useful list! I've been writing poetry for ages and just recently decided that I might want to translate some of my work into English and try to get it published that way. Will definitely reference this post :)
I appreciate the curated list, but for those of us who have no aptitude with Excel, can you please still create a full web list each week? Thanks very much for all your good work.
Thank you for not paywalling this. There’s something sick about paywalling access to a list of paywalled publications that may not even publish your work for no pay.
On the contrary, many professional publications ask you to assume that no reply after a certain period means no go for publication. I personally prefer this than many of the generic rejection cut-and-pastes. Honestly, I’ll take no reply over some sappy empty encouragement like “Keep writing, the world needs your words!” This is also why I sometimes prefer and even chuckle at whenever many of the prestigious mags send rejections that are a simple one-liner of “Shannan, we will not be publishing this.” Like, props buddy, thanks for showing me my place.

Story Unlikely's idea of respect for writers is having you assume rejection after 90 days of no response. Not good enough in my opinion.
Yep. One of the reasons they are on my Do Not Submit To list.
If you can't be bothered to let a writer know either way, I'm not playing that rude and unprofessional game.

I don't care how terse the response but no reply hints at 'how dare you bother us with your submission, you grain of sand?'
West Coast scrappiness ? Love it.
it's...it's a thing right...a West Coaster told me it's a thing... 👀
Well...must be a Northern California thing.
The site looks great. Hard work and white wine?
